Coastal Carolina and North Carolina played a 3 game series in the 2022 College Baseball Season. This video highlights Games 1 & 3 of the series.

Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.

If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!

I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

  2. Thank you for doing a UNC series, it was a good one

  3. keep an eye on coastal they’re gonna be scary throughout the year when pitching staff is back to full strength👀

  4. that overturn call was bullshit he was out at home

  5. He was blocking the plate before he had the ball. But it was close so i wouldn't have been surprised if it wasn't overturned

  6. North Carolina and Liberty are battling tomorrow in a big early season midweek matchup between #15 and #14

  7. That call at home plate was bs. The throw beat him so how was it interference? Glad UNC won.

  8. If they are going to have the disrespect to put the winning run at 3rd just to pitch to you, make them pay and he sure did!

  9. I don’t understand how they overturned that play at the plate, but I’ll take it

  10. 10:20 — HORRIBLE CALL!!! ** see "NOTE" under Rule 6.01(h)(2) and 6.01(h) Comment PLUS 6.01(i) **

    Rule 6.01(h)(2) Comment:

Under Rule 6.01(h)(2), when the ball is not dead on obstruction and an obstructed runner advances beyond the base which, in the umpire’s judgment, he would have been awarded because of being obstructed, he does so at his own peril and may be tagged out. This is a judgment call. NOTE: The catcher, without the ball in his possession, has no right to block the pathway of the runner attempting to score. The base line belongs to the runner and the catcher should be there only when he is fielding a ball or when he already has the ball in his hand.

    Rule 6.01(h) Comment:

If a fielder is about to receive a thrown ball and if the ball is in flight directly toward and near enough to the fielder so he must occupy his position to receive the ball he may be considered “in the act of fielding a ball.” It is entirely up to the judgment of the umpire as to whether a fielder is in the act of fielding a ball.

6.01(i) …it shall not be considered a violation of this Rule 6.01(i)(2) if the catcher blocks the pathway of the runner in a legitimate attempt to field the throw (e.g., in reaction to the direction, trajectory or the hop of the incoming throw, or in reaction to a throw that originates from a pitcher or drawn-in infielder).

  11. The play at the plate is tough to call. It's right on the edge of blocking without the ball and making a play on the ball.

I've replayed it a bunch of times and the only thing I can think of is they said that the catcher never gave a clear path to the plate.

  12. Does anyone know why they ended up overturning the out call at 9:30?

Catcher did everything right and the tag was definitely in time.

EDIT: seems there's no 100% answer as to what they were thinking on the field, good games overall

  13. Awful fucking call at the plate, so tired of these bullshit calls in baseball within the last few years

  14. Have you posted a video of just the play at the plate? I bet Jomboy would like to review that play.

Great highlights. Thanks for posting. Go Heels!!
